How will life be after 1000 years?
How will life be after 1000 years?
Aided by certain speculative works of fiction and creative analyses, allow us to take you on a journey to the future of communication. We predict a giant leap in the development of nanotechnology. The communication evolution is on it's way!
The coming 1000 years will show transport vehicles such as Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), personal spaceships, skyhoppers and podracers leading the way in the communication evolution. The road network of today and all the associated problems will be a thing of the past as daily transport takes to the skies. Speed will no longer be expressed in units, as speed has become immeasurably fast. Voice and data will be merged together at embryo phase.
Even bandwidth as communication carrier will lose it's role; replaced instead by an unimaginable giant cloud; outer space. Space is our base. Cities will be larger and planets will be visible via hologram, permanently available through all forms of communication.
For all time, people have had a communal, unstoppable and increasing need for communication. This knowledge, combined with an explosive growth of (nano)technology development brings our communication evolution to a whole new level, without boundaries... 'Voice Over Space' is the new, invisible communication methodology. Personal identification through ID chip implants under the skin, directly connected to the brain, acts as the personal call centre.
Just the thought of communicating with a droid, or a person who lives 15 million lightyears away, is enough to bring about a real-time Voice Over Space connection. Through the advanced Media Over Space technology, video and emotion are also standard functionalities in the communication exchange.
In this communication evolution, the world is perfect and all people are friends. Worries, woe, traffic-jams and mobility issues are forgotten and can only be found in the holographic history books. Availability and efficiency are issues from only the old, outdated databases. Sound related to communication or traffic is no longer detectable in general airspace, this world is made up of a serene peace. Ringtones were long ago exchanged for personal vibration spots (PVS) Communication is the most important lifeline in this eternal space-enterprise. “Beam-me-up” is the basis for a moment of physical contact and logging of communication is saved in the personal ID chips.
Occassionally, we at Sencit like to muse about this sort of future and how we would take part in it. But then a more level-headed, realistic colleague pops his head into our office and suddenly we're back in the 21st century. No matter how the future will be, at Sencit we're certain of one thing: it's all about communication! So for us, the idea that we will play a role in advising and implementing communication systems, goes without saying!
For now, we'll continue working hard to bring about communication that we, a few years ago, would've considered futuristic. You'll be hearing from us!
